An ok roller coaster it could have been faster and longer

oh come on, you cant tell me you didnt get a huge adrenaline rush out of the amazing first drop

Mr. Hammer get yourself an airplane...a really FAST airplane that has a door... and you get a pilot that can fly REALLY fast...and when it gets going fast enough you jump out! This way you can not only achive FASTER and LONGER, but you can go HIGHER as well (if thats possible...) Then come back to TPC and let me know how it went. ok?

Oh, give him a break! He probably just meant longer and faster slipped in with that. Maybe he just meant more of a sense of speed since the transitions were so gradual so therefore I would agree. They ride does seem pretty short even though the track is quite long. Son of Beast and The Beast are the two longest coasters in the US, but both of them still seem pretty short.

well hang on lets think about this... millennium force-- speed: 92 mph. very few coasters faster than that. track length: nearly 7,000 feet. very few coasters longer than that. i really think the hammer is asking a little much,

Hey dont forget that there are faster coaster than MF. You also have two in japan than go faster than MF. Steal dragon 2000 looks alot better and it goes faster than MF. So, why dosent CP see that there is somthing faster than MF. Also Most of the records that MF broke have been broken by other coaster.

hammer, you obviously didnt read my post right. i said very few coasters are faster and longer than mf, i didnt say there are NO coasters faster and longer.

I agree with Hammer. Even though it hits 90+, for most of the ride youre not close enough to anything to get the sensation of speed. Its like driving on an Interstate. You feel like youre crawling even when youre going fast. Other problems at those speeds are the ride cannot have sharp turns or transitions without excessive gs, and it has to be extremely long (and expensive to build and maintain) in order for the ride to last any amount of time (unless you put brakes on it to slow it down and totally ruin the pace of the ride). While 250-300 foot drops are neat, a properly designed sub-hyper steelie coaster or a 100 foot high woodie (far more preferable, anyway) can give you more turns, transitions, and bunny hops with an equivalent ride time, and the park owner would pay millions less (and hopefully not raise prices as much). It depends on what you want - bragging rights for the highest & fastest or just the most exciting ride.

HAHAHAHAHA. Faster. There are TWO full circuit coasters that are a LITTLE faster than MF, and eitehr of them do NOT mantain the speed like MF does. The end of SD2000 looks like 15 mph. Keep in mind that Millennium Force is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the continent. If you are complaining just because TWO coasters are a BIT faster, than all you care about is world records. I love MF for the expierence, not for the records. And more on the speed..MF is 93 mph on the bottom of the first drop..it is 70-80 throought the island and 65 at the end..that is INCREDIBLY fast.

i have not gone on it but from what i know 93MPH is ummmm......fast

Yeah, you could say that about any ride you go on, could be faster and could be longer. But look when it debuted, 14 World Records. Its been three years since. Of course rides are going to break the records MF made, but that shouldnt take away from that ride. Im sure CP doesnt need to "see" that there are things faster then MF, because this ride is so much more popular than just about any ride in the world. Steel Dragon isnt rated as good as this, and neither is Dodonpa (even being 106 mph). So, this ride does actually have great speed, and is very long, and is voted the Best Steel Coaster in the WORLD. Sorry to Japan Coasters. Intamin struck gold for this one, and this will keep being a great ride, no matter how long or fast it is. Or how many other coasters break its records. Now CP has Top Thrill Dragster, 120 mph, or does that too need to be faster?

Is he talking about me?? I have startd to ride rides more because it is more towards the summer, and to get more into it again I go here. This isnt about attention at all if you are talking about me, I was voicing my opinion, I didnt know you werent allowed to do that here....geez. I mean, what I said makes sense, you could say for TTD that is could be faster, or Dodonpa could be faster, or SD2000 could be longer or the Beast could be longer, but what does that matter? Focus on what the ride does, not what it doesnt do.

Everybody has the right to their opinon it is that simple. Even though there are other coasters which have elements which may be better than Mf you cant deny what it does. It is fast and fun and if you look at the consensus of ratings it rates high. Personal preference is understandable, but its would be a large understatement saying it wasnt fast enough.
