The steamin Demon is by far the best roller coaster ever build. Everyone out there needs to respect the demon. when I get on that coaster i have the time of my life. The demon deserves respect

Yes Brett, you are right, The Demon deserves much Respect, from all who oppose, I hope they have fun on that little ride they call the Boomerang, The only ride that could even be considerd three forths as good as the Demon would be The Comet, but only because it is wooden.

Wow are we all talking about the same Stemin Demon? To give the coaster a 10 is a little extreme. You are saying it is PERFECT. How about the fact that it is like 10 seconds after the lift hill, or that the corscrews are extremely bumpy. There is only one train and the restraints are done manually. Im not trashing your review. I respect it. I just dont see what all the excitement is for.

Even though I havent been on the ride (and from just looking at the ride It doesnt seem like Im missing out on anything), it does deserve some degree of respect for the rides history. It was orginially built at one of the most famous and missed parks in the nation (and probably the world), Ponchartrain Beach. I wish I could have been born earlier to see it since my parents lived in N.O. The place was a classic.

Its a fantastic ride for what is is. the loop is fantastic. the corkscrews are ok. but why bather arguing it will be gone soon.

Really? I didnt know. Why?

Yes. the ride is having major structal problems. every year tey replace a lorge chunk of the first corkscrew. this is casign them too much money. so they plan to remove it and instal a larger coaster.

What do they have in mind? I think it should be preserved as it is the only existing reminder of Ponchartrain Beach.

Well unfortanalty they are getign fed up with replacign sections of the ride. so They are lookign into other options. they wer ediding on a ride a year ago bu tlos it. I wasnt told exactly what coaster thow. they are hoping to intstal somthign with more inversions and that is a littel more spectaculare to draw people off teh street.

I hope its not another relocated coaster...something new and original would be nice.

Yes it would MovieCoast. I might visit the park in late August, but the only ride Im really looking forward to is Comet. I hope this park gets some new, more creative coasters.
