The LA Times has posted an article on the new "X" ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Has a couple of videos to check out as well.

Its not enough. X delivers plenty of action, but beyond its initial drop, the ride is all frenzy. Each element is over and youre onto the next before you get a chance to absorb whats happened.

Almost no riders left with green faces or unsure steps. And not one of more than two dozen asked at the exit had anything negative to say. Sure, the ride could have used a few more breathers, to set up and sustain the drama. But Xs terrific first plunge and technical innovations have already marked it as a welcome addition to Southern Californias coaster collection.

Who's cares about absorbing what happens. That's for the weak that want to know what's going to happen. What if I don't want to know what's going to happen? I prefer it like this.

"I'm so sad. I didn't get to ride the ride or see the video." *ties wire around neck* "My computer hates me!" *jumps off stool, wire breaks* "God damn it, that was the 18 time."
