Arrow Dynamics Built Olympic Cauldron

The cauldron, made of steel and glass, has served as a symbol of the Games for many years. This year, Arrow was selected to build and engineer the 117 ft, 40,000 pound structure. Now were just one step away from seeing coaster riding an Olympic Sport :)

“The final cauldron design was selected based on its elegant representation of the Games’ theme, Light the Fire Within,” said Scott Givens, managing director of SLOC’s Creative Group. “Its strong use of angular shapes of SLOC’s Crystal Emblem, and its ability to marry the fire and ice concept of our overall design philosophy were key elements.”

I was just wondering if Arrow had any other expirence with projects like this one? Also, why did they spend time designing this insted of designing roller coasters LOL.
