Diamond Back Track Complete

The track for the new Kings Island ride was completed Monday on the new coaster. I don't have much to say but I hate snakes.. hate THEM... the worst..
Kings Island spokesman Don Helbig said that track piece number 129 was the final piece of track installed on the 5,282 foot-long $22 million steel coaster. He said there were 141 pieces of different sizes making up the track and the placement of the final one is crucial.

"There are only certain points on the track that can be adjusted at the end of the project," Helbig said. "In order to have a little wiggle room for measurement adjustments, the last track piece had to be placed near the train station and splashdown area."
Man.. I have the willies.. hate them! There's also a pretty cool slide show of the construction here.

This is by far my most anticipated coaster of the year. Unfortunately, I have not ridden my most anticipated coaster of the year the past 3 years. Hopefully that will change.
