I just got back from my week-long lakeside vacation including two trips to CP, one Suday night and another all day Wednesday. We left lakeside at 5:00 and arived at CP at 5:30. I was with my cusin, her boyfriend and another one of my cusins (all coaster-riders). We headed straight for Raptor only to find that it was closed, so we took a quick trip over to Blue Streak (10 mins). As we hopped off that we noticeed Raptor was runnnig so jumped in line for that. The line for Raptor was suprisingly short (20 mins). And that coaster just blew my mind. We took a bit of a hike to Mellenium where we ran into our only true long line of the day at 2 hours. THIS RIDE WAS SO AWESOME I CAN'T BELIVE HOW SPOILED CLEAVLANDERS ARE! Then we decided to eat at that new Game Day Grille. Good food except for one minor problem, more on that later. We headed over to Mantis next for our half hour wait. Ride rocked, knees hurt. Walked over to Dragster, but not running.Magnumk was a walk-on. This ride dissapointed me soooo much. I have heard so much praise for it but frankly, it sucked. Walked to Mean Streak (walk-on). This ride is totaly under rated! It was MUCH better than Magnum! Then over to Geminii. Another dissapointing wallk-on. But then, as we walked down the midway, we hear screaming. We look up. DRAGSTER'S RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!! We checked our watches. 5 minuests till 11. RUN! We ran to the entrance and zipped past the lady saying thank you. Ran down the que. THE LINE WAS ONLY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE RAMP! Short wait for Dragster. We left the park at 11:30 and got home at 12:04. Wow.

The next day I woke up, ran to the bathroom and threw up. Throughout that day I threw up three times and had diarea eleven times. I don't think I'm gonna recomend the seafood soup at game day grille. I spent monday in my room. Tuesday we were supposed to go to CP but i was feeling pretty bad until about luch time so we just went sailing that night. Wedsday I was all better and it was back to the point!
We arived at 1:00. This time a was with a much larger group. My mom, both my sisters, my cousin, my aunt, and my grandma. We got in and my mom went off to Kiddie Kingdom with my youngest sister, my other sister and grandma went off to the flats by Wicked twisterand my cousin, aunt and I went on Raptor (1 hour). Then we walked up to some prezel stand and got lunch. We went on the scrambler then met up with every one. My sister, cousin, and I went off to ride some of the smaller coasters while everyone else went to Camp Snoopy. We rode Irion Dragon (HORRIBLE!), Wildcat (exeded expectations), and the CCMR (I'm *stunned*) all with 15-20 min waits. I rode Jr. Gemini With my youngest sister, then it was off to Mean Streak this time with a 45 min wait. Then it was time to send my youngest sister home for bed and my aunt and grandma went with her. We rode Demon Drop (walk-on), chaos (walk-on), disaster transport (30 mins), and Ocean Motion (walk-on), and one last ride on Dragster.
And now....The Rankings:

choas: 5
I had always thought choas looked fun, but it wasn't. It's just to hard to get it to flip!

Raptor: 10
This ride just blew me away. I had never experienced such bliss ever befor. The g's on that last helix were so intense!

ocean motion: 5
Hey, It made me laugh!

Scrambler: 3
Yeah, yeah,yeah.

Mean streak:8
This ride is modt under-rated thing ever! It is NOT rough! it is fast! It is tall! It is long! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!

Jr. Gemini: 3
Fun ride for kids. Long line though.

Mantis: 7
Great ride. Hurts pretty bad but the stand-up concept is great.

Mellenium Force: 10
This ride had maximum airtime, awesome smooothness, hieght, and speed. Covered all the bases great. Worth any wait.

Demon Drop: 7
Very, very scary. it's over so fast you don't know what's happening. Easier than most drop towers.

Disaster Transport: 6
Nice themeing. Bad ride. This was awesome themeing but the ride was pretty horrible.

Iron Dragon: 3
HORRIBLE!!!! nothin

I agree, Magnum is very over-rated. (I still gave it a 9 though, since the finale is so much fun) Mean Streak is lousy just because it's a long, boring ride with no g's at all.

I may be going to the Point in a week or so, and last time I was there I didn't ride Mantis. (I had a real bad experience on a stand-up TOGO once) Do you guys recommend it? Is it that painful on the legs?

I haven't been on any standup coaster, but as a rule of thumb, never compare B&M to Togo

Yeah, TOGO is pretty horrible. I've heard some bad things about Mantis though.

If you are reminiscing about Shockwave at PKI, Mantis is much better and much less painful.

Personally, I think everyone exagerates (sp?) the "pain" on Mantis. I found it to be one of the best rides at the point, even almost better than Magnum.

I rode Skyrider at PCW, which is the same thing as Shockwave. Thanks.

I liked Mantis, but it was nothing compared to Riddelrs Revenge, and I thought that it was just barely better than Georgia Scorcher.
Oh, and Gamling, I think that Magnum won #1 so many times because it was above the others for a while; also, I think Montu is similar to Raptor in the ride, but I hope that you get down to BGT someday to experience a great invert with landscaping.

Yeah, Montu really looks like it interacts with the themeing well. BGT is actually a maybe for the next few years. I was supposed to go last summer when we were visiting friends in Tampa but it rained so we decided to just skip it.

I really don't like standups, period. It does not matter who makes them (and I have been on three differnt brands), they all are painful and create just plain weird forces on your body.

BTW, no Wicked Twister or Corkscrew? If you are going to the point, Ya got to hit all the coasters

Wicked Twister was closed and Corkscrew at VF is like the exact same thing as the CP one. So If you had to choose between one last ride on TTD or a ride on Corkscrew after you've already been on it's sister at VF what would you pick? I thought so.

Well, it would have been a tough choice. TTD, or a coaster that though youve been on a similar ride (or clone for that), I would probably take Corkscrew. Especialy with the history behind it and all.

wicked twister is better than steel venom in my opinion it's a little smoother and the back twist is a little better than the straight spike. I wish they had the brake like they have on steel venom but other than that it's better.

The only Impulse that Ive been on is WT, but Im not sure that a brake would add to the ride all that much- its just dangling without moving for a second, right? Doesnt sound all that thrilling.

It's pretty fun-It catches you by surprise the first time you experiece one, because you're at the top expecting to go back down, but all the sudden there's a big jolt and you're vertical for 1-3 seconds.

They're not thrilling, I'd call them just more of a surprise...

I think the vertical brakes are really awesome. And the noise it makes adds to it too.

Your joking right? Like most people I would say ttd.

Npo, Im not joking. I thought TTD was nice and all, but Id prefer to ride other ones that I havent been on. When I went, two of my friends went and rode it the first day, meanwhile, me and my other friend went and rode Mantis, Corkscrew, WT and Disaster Transport and were in line for Magnum when the other two got off. Not that I liked Corkscrew all that much, its just that Id rather ride a bunch of rides. Now, we all rode it the second day, and because of it, I missed rides on Gemini and MS.
