what is everyone's number 1 coaster and why? Mine is steel venom because of the speed and hight. I also love the back spike's brake.

Magnum does have a ton of airtime.

I would say that the Hulk, overall, is my favorite coaster. I can't think of one flaw that the coaster has. The launch is great and the zero-g roll is amazing, not to mention the airtime filled drop. The cobra roll is intense and the loop is fun, and the whole ride is just non-stop action.

Hulk is my favorite coaster. Awesome launch, huge inversions, and located at one of the best theme park's in the U.S. (if not the World).

My #1 coaster is Millennium Force at Cedar Point. The drop alone is incredible enough, but the intensity, speed, and power of the ride can't be matched. The overbanked turns are phenomenal, and it's a nice, long ride in a wonderful setting. MF RULES FOREVER !!!

Either Apollo's Chariot, Drachen Fire, or Storm Runner. I don't keep a top ten anymore because every day it'd change but those three coasters are the best I've been on.

Under the right conditions (hot day, full capacity), nothing, but nothing, beats the Coney Island Cyclone. It's just completely insane, between its deathly first drop, and side-slamming laterals. Hand-choppers are in copious supply, and the sense of abandon you get from beginning to end is the best anywhere.

Apollo's Chariot- Airtime, awsome drop, and a great setting.

Montu comes in a close second because of it's setting, unique layout, and intense drop

My favorite coaster is Raging Bull. This coaster incorporates all that makes a coaster great. First off the seats are very comfortable and open, the first hill offers some great air and it dives into an underground tunnel, and the rest of the ride has great floater air. Its a hyper twister which is cool because it takes the twister style layout found in woodies and builds it with steel, which means bigger and steeper drops and increased speed. It doesnt offer the intidimation factor the way Millinnium Force does, but its still a great coaster and my #1.

Millennium Force - absolutely flawless! Great first drop, silky smooth, long, sustained speed, comfortable cars, great to look at, intimidating, at Cedar Point. What more could you ask for?

I do think that SROS (sfne) is a better-designed coaster than MF, but the size can not compare. However, SROS has airtime like you won't believe.

Montu deserves a mention. Best looping coaster in the world. Beautiful blend of power, inversions, speed, and smoothness.

I like it better when it's fairly empty and I'm the only one in the car, less weight makes the Cyclone really out of control. Ride it alone in the back seat and you are sliding side to side into those big cushioned sides

Apollos chariot is by far my favorite coaster. The seats are the best by a mile. I love how free you feel with nothing holding your upper body in.

Yeah Cyclone!!!!

NYC respresent.

It is the most nostalgic feeling ever. I hope that sometime in the near future they do a big restoration project and really turn Coney Island into as big a theme park as it used to be. Personally, I think that all the small parks there should join together. It would be cool if they found a way to add new rides while still giving rides like the Cyclone their charm.

Currently, Dominator(formerly Batman:Knight Flight). It's a silky smooth, intense, simply perfect floorless coaster. I do wish it'd have one more inversion, such as a zero g roll, but it's still excellent! Anyway, I'll be going to about 4 other parks this summer, so that might change.

Hulk, definitly...

It was the most intense, action packed experience I've ever encountered. Like I said in my review, NEVER have I screamed of fear and joy so much. The launch make it so unique and really just prepared you simply for whats to come. And it does that by not even having a chain lift. It's gets you right INTO the action. Not for the faint hearted...and that's not me...

Maybe when I ride Millenium Force/Top Thrill Dragster in a few weeks, this might change. But until then, Incredible Hulk still remains number 1.

BTW: Titan (SFOT), Magnum and Dominator (TCFKA Batman:Knight Flight) follow closely. They are all exellent coasters and I see a lot of people agree (At least on Magnum and Dominator).

Millenium Force. It has height, speed, a terrifying andamazing first drop, cool overbanked turns, does not give up speed till the very end of the ride, cool lift hill, tunnels, that stuff.

Top Thrill Dragster is tied with MF. It's a completely different ride from anything else, the launch is so fast, it feels like you can't keep up with the train, it's the most frightening thing I've ever ridden, and it's 400 foot hill of corse.

Geez - I wish this could be done, it would be a huge boon to New York's character, and it makes a whole lot more sense than devoting all of this money towards the Keyspan stadium, and (at least from what I've heard, correct me if you know of different news) a hotel on the old Thunderbolt site. Back in the 1970's-80's, Horace Bullard, who owns a good amount of property in Coney, wanted to build a huge amusement park, in the old, turn-of-the-century style - dark rides, wax museums, coasters, carousels, flats - you name it. Unfortunately, though, the funds just weren't there, and there has always been such crazy politics in regards to Coney, that nothing ever seems to get done. In a way, it's a good thing that Keyspan Park went up, but I just feel that it's lacking in vision - Coney Island should be about the amusement parks. New York already has enough sport complexes - we need a great park.
