Yesterday (10/4) I went to Magic Mountain with my best friend Cathy and my parents. Tons of Fun!

It was the first day of Fright Fest, and despite the lack of gules (spelling??), it was a truley chilling time. Spiderwebs adorned the park and its many attractions, along with a giant black widow on the side of Colossus. We began the day on, as usual, Revolution. I really do enjoy this ride, although, it can be smoother. Afterward we checked the line for Viper - too long - and X - too long - so we headed over to the Colossus County Fair area. On the way took a ride on Log Jammer, a GREAT log ride. Rode Colossus backwards, which was, as I expected, a lot of fun. It was cool to be racing the other track, which was running the ride frontward. Took a spin on Scream, in which had a 10 min wait, and rode Colossus forward, which was a walk on. Next was Batman. Fantasically intense ride, but waay to long of a wait. About an hour, which wasn't bad, but still, a little much for such a short ride. Rode Grinder Gearworks and ate lunch.

After we ate, we took a little hiking trip up to Sammuri Summit for Ninja (30-45 mins wait), and then back down again (we would come back later for Superman). Walked over to Arrowhead Splashdown (Not quite as good as Log Jammer, but close), and Psyclone. Why I ever wanted to go on Pysclone again after the last time I went is a mystery. The thing is a contraption of pain. After we recovered from our less than satisfactory ride on the wooden beast we walked back over to Riddlers. Longest ride of the day at 2 hours, but I still think the ride is well worth it. Tried something new and sat in the back row. I love getting pulled over that first hill. Great ride. Next we met my parents over in front of Revolution, and together we walked to X.

The signs said 3-4 hour wait, but after we were tipped off it was MUCH shorter than posted, we got in line. And sure enough, not even an hour later we were at the boarding station. X was one of the most amazing roller coasters ever, and b/c it was my first time, I was horrified. Despite my fear I had my hands up and my eyes open, and it was truley an amazing experience. On a sort of "thrill ride high", I decided I was ready to ride Goliath. When we got there I got really nervoud, but I followed through, and rode what is now my favorite roller coaster. Goliath is the BEST in the entire park, hands down, and a great roller coaster.

With an hour left, we did our best to get in the last of the rides. It was dark, and supposedly the monsters were to be lurking, although, we didn't see any - whatsoever. Kinda dissapointing as I said earlier, but oh well. Rode FreeFall (which was the scariest thing in the world, imo), and Superman (which was certainly a fast and furious time). Time for one more, and we decided Viper would be a nice way to cap the night off. Walked all the way down the hill, past the red watered fountain in the enterance plaza, and waited a stunning 45 mins for Viper. I was really surpised b/c it was closing time, and yet, the line seemed to never end. By the time we got on, we were tired and annoyed with the line, and the ride just didn't do it for us. In an attempt to save the night, we did a little shopping, and went back to the car with a great day in our minds.

This was probably the best Magic Mountain trip that I ever had, and I certainly cannot wait till we go back. Theres talk of a season pass....

Because magic mountain deserves a good name. If you are young and love thrills, you'll like the park. If you are trying to drag a family to a day of unforgetable memories, think again about comming here. Any of the really nasty things you hear about this park are from people that tried to make a family day out of visitying this park. It's not a family park. It's a young teenage hangout full of thrills. And Freight Fest is one of the best times to experience the thrills. As Blue just found out.

It's in CA you know. It's not like it's a cross country trip for you.
