I will (hopefully) be going to six Flags Magic Mountain later this month, and I heard something about if you take a full can of coke into the park and buy one admission, you get one free? Is this true? So in theory, since there are six people in my family, if we take three cans of coke into the park, we will only have to pay the price of three admissions? Someone please enlighten me!

Ive seen commercials for the same thing at my homepark (Six Flags over Georgia) and such promotions have been around for years because Ive taken advantage of the Coke cans not only at SFoG, but also at SF Astroworld. Im headed out to SFMM later this month too, but Ive got season passes to SFoG, which is valid at all SF parks.

There have also been smiliar promotions for SFGAm, except that one adult ticket is worth 2.

The promos vary time to time at SFoG, ranging from $5 or $10 off, to the buy one get 1 half off, to the current promo that everyone gets in for the price of a child.

Thanks guys... also, are there any tips you can give to avoid long queues/crowds? Bear in mind that as I am in the UK I'm not too bothered what rides I go on because they will all be a lot better than the ones here. I do want to go on Goliath, Riddlers Revenge, Superman the escape and Scream, but apart from that I'm not too bothered.

Yeah, I'd love to go on that, but apparently the queues for it are monumental...

X is unique-enough of an ride experience for me to be willing to wait more than 2hrs, and I hate lines!

It will be more than a 2 hour wait.lol. Much more. But as long as you arrive early and stay until closing you'll be fine, time wise to get on everything. Especially since there are nothing but coasters.

Toaddy- you seem pretty wise to the world of SFMM... what sort of queue times can I expect on Goliath, Superman, Batman, Riddlers and Scream? can't wait, I've never been to the USA before, let alone a great park like SFMM!

I should since I go about every 2 weeks.lol. Goliath usually ranges 30+ min. Superman is a srewed up ride. It could be really short or really long. I've seen it at 10 min. and at 3-4 hours stretching down the mountain. But when you're going I want to say 20 min. Batman has sucked lately since they have only been running 1 train. 45 min. Less if they run the other train. Riddler 30+ min. Scream 15+ min. This can all change. It all depends on the crowds. My advice get their early knock out X and DeJa (if open) then you're good to go.
