It's been more than a few years since I've checked back into these parts. It kinda pains me to not see tons of activity. I can remember some of the funniest times I've had on the net. The "Hey Seph, have you ever ridden Popeye?" Saga stands out. I wonder if there's anyone left who could even remember those days.

Anyway all is well with me (for those who remember who I even am). I hope those I grew up with on here are leading happy, prosperous lives.

EDIT: Also, what happened to "Forum Of The Namelessness"?

Glad to hear things are good with you. I remember the good old days. i check in every once and a while but see very little activity. the data bass is about 5 years out of date which hurts the main purpose of the site.

At least someone got rid of all the spam. I really miss this site also, and realize that this is the changing of the internet that these places get left behind. But as MRC said if the owner would keep the data base up to date and occasionally check in, it would help. If we could find about 20 old members who actually really wanted to talk about parks and rides, it would probably be enough.

I am also guilty of only checking in very occasionally. I did notice that almost none of the ride update requests have been addressed. It makes me sad.

^Yep its bull, what would be the point of even trying if he can't even be bothered with ride updates, when he said that was his reason for keeping the site up.

Yeah its been wild in here. Maybe we should mention other sites, then drama would start and the place would be busy again. It works for RRC,

I remember when the site was really busy 6-7 years ago. There were some good times. I still pop by every once and a while and today I actually felt compelled to write some reviews for nostalgia.

Its a shame we can't get it back, there are so many angry enthusiasts, it'd be nice to have a calm place to just talk about coasters without all the other poop.

I think because there was no desire to turn it into a business.

True. I liked how it was easy to see how people felt about rides and hear why they're good or bad. It helped me plan out which rides to hit in some park visits.

^agreed this used to be the first place I went to see what to do first in a park. I still think this is the only site that offers that

This site rules. I actually haven't been keeping up to date with coasters/theme parks, but it'd be awesome to get back into it.

It's been a DECADE since I signed up for this site? Hell no.

Crazy on the decade thing. RRC has came back from the dead, we could do the same thing with about 15-20 posters. MRC start bringing the news again. lol

Holy crap, I can't believe I remembered my password. I don't remember the last time I have even been here.

Well, if it goes this long again, it was good times spent on here with you cats. I'm doing swell, got a good job and a good lady and just chugging along with life.

Edit: WHAT?! No Forum of Namelessness anymore?

Yeah the "owner" somehow decided that was not needed also, you know sort of like not needing the actual owner. It is funny how people show up every once in a while. I have also eaten at a Tacotime which makes your pic mean so much more now.

Haha very nice. They aren't the best, but I guess I just found it fitting with my name at the time.

Oh yeah it's definitely good. I've just had better since then.

I still can't remember where I got the name tacoking from. I love tacos, but not that much.

I checked in here a week or so ago for the first time in years. I still keep in touch with a few of the peeps through Facebook, but it would be nice to see this place back up and hopping again. I guess what it really takes is for some of us to actually start posting again. As someone said, it would probably only take about 20 or so of us, and things here might actually start rolling again.

I tried getting on here a couple times through the years, but couldn't remember my password and I no longer use the email this account is attached to.

Then after a long night at the bar, I couldn't sleep, came across the site again and the first one I try works. Now I just haven't logged out since then because I don't remember what I typed in.

There have been two requests in the past two years. And with no one paying attention, I only check the site about once every six months.

If you guys really want the place to pick back up, let me know. I just fear that its a lost cause. Coaster sites have largely been abandoned. If I had to guess, I'd say that social media has replaced most coaster sites. Coaster buzz, thrill network and coaster force both have very little activity, and they used to be even bigger than TPC. Even the one big site remaining isn't really doing well - they just had their slowest month since June 05, 3 months after they launched their web forums.

The platform is dead. What you really need is a mobile app. I am astonished that there isn't one in the AppStore...

Checking in. I have been very busy this year. My family & I bought our first home, had our first baby together (I have two older stepdaughters), one of them started school this year, etc. The only park I went to this year is Knoebels because of my wife being pregnant all summer. Next summer will definitely be a better summer for amusement parks. I plan to go back to Great Adventure on my 25th birthday and take the church youth with me as well. I'm glad to see most of ya'll I remember (BobFunland, coaster05, mrceagle, Cyclonic, Paul, and tacoking). I had some great times on these message boards. It's sad to see this site not get as much activity as it used to. I'm glad I still remember my login and password.

I try and respond when I see something new, just hoping that maybe it will allow a conversation to get some legs on here. I agree social media has taken over, but you would think these would find a place just because they are such a more narrow focus. If i just want to talk parks i dont have to scroll through a bunch of my political views.

Agreed I really had fun on this site. Joe is right in the idea we need an app for this. It was also nice not having a crazy dictator who ran this site.

Wow so many familiar names. good to see you all.

I agree that social network is part of the problem but local park or regional forums seem to still be doing very well.

My problem with the site and why I stopped suggesting people to sign in is that the Database was pretty much abandoned and hasn't been updated in god knows how long.
