I'm finally going back to Six Flags Great America after about a two-year absence. I'm curious to hear how the crowds have been on the last few opening days, anyone have any idea?

Well the trip ended up being a good time. I got on all the major rides before 1:00pm, which is probably the fastest I've ever been able to accomplish such a feat. The longest wait I had was maybe 40 minutes, tops, and that was on Superman of course. The park was simply empty, and it never really filled up by the end of the day. I don't think I ever waited over an hour for any ride all day!
The only ride that wasn't running was DejaVu. Did it run much last season? It looked like there was some construction equipment around the ride, so I can't imagine its opening any time soon. But I could be wrong, its DejaVu afterall. It's too bad the ride has to be closed, it's a good one!
All in all, I think the park looks nice. They have done some good things since I was there last. The only thing I didn't like was how American Eagle's whole little village was replaced by a kids section that was closed the whole time. It really seemed to take away some of the majestic vibe from the ride (not to mention it wasn't running backward anymore).
