B&M did not invent the inverted coaster, they took a suspended coaster idea and made it not swing.

i'll cross my fingers here - the dells, indiana beach, and HW. knoebel's of course. lots of coney island. i'm always game for the jersey shore and i'd like to try a more selective version of what bobfunland did last year there.

who knows really...

if i end up in cali in 07 i'd like to complete my longtime dream of MM (i've been in LA every year for the last five and never went).

This summer I'm hoping to take on the the best of the midwest. 6F Great America, Holiday World, Indiana Beach, Michigan's Adventure, the Wisconsin Dells parks, the Missouri parks, a visit to Kentucky, and Dollywood. Also, I hope to check out Maverick at Cedar Point, and get in a visit to Kennywood.

since I have been traveling a lot in the US the past couple of there will not be many new parks.

In the US I hope to make the following parks.
April
SFGAdv
Coney Island
SFoG and Wild Advenures
Knoeebls

May
Lake Compounce (if the retracking of BD goes well)
SFNE
SFA/Blue Diamond Park/Clementon
Coney Island/Adventurland/Rye Playland

June
HersheyPark
Dutch Wonderland (haven't been since I was a kid)

TPR Spain Trip
Parque De Atracciones Madrid
Isla Magica
Parque De attraciones Zaragusa
Port Aventura
Tibidabo
Terra Mitica
Parque Warner Madrid
and then a couple of parks in Germany

July and August
I'll figure it out later

The two weekend trips I went to make this year are:
BGEurope and Kings Dominion again
and
CP, Kings Island and Strickers Grove on one of the weekends Strickers Grove is open.

October
1st Sunday in October: SFDK and Great America (San Jose) in the same day and possibly a quick run to Santa Cruz Boardwalk

yeah too bad Final Four isn't like 2 weeks later. Some friends and I are doing Dollywood on April 13 (Mystery Mine opens) and then Lake Winnie on April 14.

If you want I suppose we could drive down to Valdosta so you could whore Wild Adventures (and hell I still have 3 credits down there)

oh as for me I am likely doing Florida a few more times, the aforementioned Dollywood/Lake Winnie run, Vegas in June, Spain in July, Texas again sometime, and right now that is about all that is "confirmed". I'd like to get back to BGW and maybe figure out a way to do La Ronde and some other random New England stuff. You guys know me, I take a lot of short trips that aren't really planned until a few weeks before...

I'm not setting my heart on anything this year like I did last. The Midwest Trip fell through for me and that was the one thing that I was holding on to.

- I will definitely make sure to get to Coney at some point in time (hopefully the opening day like everyone else is going to do, but if not, at some point)

- I'm hopefully to save up a little cash to do Holiwood Nights and Rumblefest on Memorial Day weekend as long as I can find a ride, but that is only if I have the capital to do so by that time (anyone up for a road trip and have an idea of the cost?)

- I have a Busch Gardens Williamsburg season pass that is now kind of useless considering my girlfriend is no longer down in Virginia (we bought them figuring that we would be able to make trips there whenever I visited since she was 10 minutes away from the park), so we are banking on going down there in the spring when Griffon opens and to also do PKD. It will be our little trip before I start summer classes.

- We are also talking about doing the Ohio parks. I really have my heart set on that (though I said I shouldn't), but I really don't think we will have the time or money at that point unless we go sometime inbetween my summer college seasons. If anything, I would just like to do a Cedar Point trip at some point during the summer, or even during Halloweekends.

- If the Ohio thing gets canned I wouldn't mind doing a trip similar to what Larry did a couple Labor Day's ago and go out to the western PA parks. Any idea on cost for that Larry?

- My girlfriend is obsessed with going to HHN at some point and would love to go this year, but she is going to be in law school and we might not have the money. But she is insisting on just randomly flying down one Friday night and flying back on Sunday or something. We will see...

- I also just noticed the Coaster Zombies trip for this year is the Canadian Loop and the time would fit perfectly into my schedule. If the price is reasonable, I would love to do that and scrap a couple of ideas until next year.

- I'm hoping to get my MAXX pass and Six Flags passes at some point (since I didn't get them for Christmas )

- I also wouldn't mind doing some kind of July 4th meet up again this year boys. Just let me know the place and time and I'm there

Herc - that Western PA. trip was dirt cheap including three nights in hotels.

Left NY on Friday afternoon and stopped at Knoebels and bought $10 in tickets. Stayed somewhere near Clarion (Days Inn I think) for that night for around $50.

Sat - Got up early and was at Waldameer for the open $22 and then Conneaut Lake for the night time special of $8. Drove to Pittsburgh that night. Hotel was around $80.

Sunday - Kennywood at opening (around $27) and then Idlewild for the night special ($13). Found a $50 hotel (Days Inn I think) in Somerset.

Monday - Lakemont Park had a Labor Day special ($5) so I went there first then to DelGrossos for their $2 Labor Day special entrance fee and stopped at Williams Grove to ride The Cyclone on the way home ($5).

Total Hotels = $180 for 3 nights
Total Park Admissions = $92
Parking = I don't think any park charged for admission (maybe $1 or $2 at Conneaut)
and then two tanks of Gas and Food

We hit about 20 new parks last year so most of '07s parks will be repeats.

Kennywood
Cedar Point
Geauga Lake
Waldameer
Holiday World
Hershey
Dorney
Knoebels
Conneaut Lake
Kings Island

We are also planning a trip to Florida in November in which we were planning on visiting the Disney parks and Cypress Gardens. However, if our daughter makes that 54" mark, we will probably hit

Universal
IOA
Sea World
BGA
Cypress Gardens
Disney (one day to finish off our passes)

We will also try to get in Idlewild, DelGrossos, Lakemont and possibly some of the Jersey shore.

Well, it's still early, but I have started to map out some plans for 2007.

Definites:
Holiday World (New!) for Holiwood Nights....Voyage is calling me!!
Cedar Point for CoasterMania
Dorney Park for Coaster Madness
Kennywood several times

Possible:
Knoebels (after Dorney)
Paramount's Kings Island (New!)
Busch Gardens Europe (New!)

And of course, if my pain in the rear job has me travel anywhere close to any parks, then I will certainly take a jaunt to check them out!

I'd rather be coaster riding!

Obviously I will be hitting the Florida parks at some point through the year. I also may be hitting up SFoG around April 15th, and I may be heading to Texas at some point during the summer...so I finally may be heading to some new parks.

In the U.S I will be visiting the following parks -

Cliffs Amusement Park (July 4th)
Castles and Coasters Phoenix (February)
Epcot, MGM, IOA, and BGT (Memorial Day weekend)
KBF, DLR, USH, SFMM (Labor Day weekend)
Boomers! Miami (Thanksgiving)
Las vegas parks (Mid august)

The rest of my time will be spent in either Spain or Greece depending on airline fares. If I can make it to madrid, I will likely visit 1 park, parque warner.

I hit 10 parks in '06 knowing that '07 would be a down year. My wife and I are expecting so I don't have any plans to go to any parks this year. Although, Griffon will open before the baby gets here and its only 3 hrs away, so I may get to sneak that park in. For the most part I'll have to live vicariously through all of you. Make sure you write great trip reports!

What with all that's going on in my life currently, I get the feeling that amusement parks will be taking something of a back seat this season. HOWEVER... I do plan on PLENTY of trips to Coney, at least one visit to Rye (I never made it out there last season), and perhaps the occasional jaunt to Keansburg. Knoebels, alas, may have to wait for 2008... sigh. You take what you can get... we'll see.

I'm about 90% sure that I'm going to Holiday World. Probably Beech Bend too, hopefuly. There's also slight chance that I'll his SFKK too, so I can check out Deluge.

We'll see what can be done - I know that summer just wouldn't be the same without at least one visit... and besides, I still have all of these bottles that need to go back to Catawissa...

Not too many parks for me this year...Blackpool Pleasure Beach again is sure to be a hoot, and I hope to be able to get over to Indiana Beach at some point (would be my first visit there). Maybe Six Flags Great America if I can manage it, but that's about it.

^I am still upset at the lack of Wacky Worms in Spain. I need four more to get to 10 WW credits. 50 kiddie coasters is really raising the bar, but it is always important to reach for the stars Joe.
