OK, I'm sure we've all had times where the person that sat next to you on a coaster (who you probably didn't know) would do something crazy like start screaming bloody murder, start crying or even :puke:.

Do any of these experiences stand out the most to you? I've been squished by a fat person and almost got vomited on. Did this ever happen to you?

OK well once I was on Sooper Dooper Looper, and this lady sitting in front of me with her young kid, thought it was the trail blazer. So I told her that it had a loop and she screamed and screamed and screamed. And her son was laughing at the end and wanted to go on again, the lady couldn't handle it, so I went on with him.

Another time I was on the Wild Cat at Hershey and then I got hit in the face with a bee and it started bleeding and I guess some got on the person behind me, because he passed out, must be scared of blood.

Last summer at Kennywood, I was taking a night ride on Phantom's Revenge at the back of the train and just before arriving back in the station a coin from someone closer to the front of the train glanced off my head. I'll give my fellow riders the benefit of the doubt and say that it was "unintentional." It was more annoying and surprising than painful, but if there had been more light and I had my glasses on, I may have sought out the source of the coin to give them a piece of my mind.

I've read that once upon a time, the Storm Runner ops used to be really serious about not letting anyone take loose articles on. Apparently not anymore, because there I was, sitting a little in front of the center, it launches, and a pair of sunglasses comes flying back from somewhere near the front. Luckily they went over my head. Someone somewhere behind me somehow managed to catch them, because I saw him handing them back to the owner as we walked down the exit line. Nobody gave him hell for wearing them.

I don't understand how people can get on that ride without spending any time thinking about what it's going to do. One girl was waving and talking with her friends on the ground as it sat on the launch track. It launched, and her arm went down real quick!

Another time -- this is all the same day -- we were in line after closing, it was about 11:45, so you'd think everybody in that line would be serious Storm Runner fans, right? But as we're one train away from riding this girl behind us suddenly notices the continuous tape talking about the ride stats, turns to us, and says "HOW fast did they say this goes?" We tell her 72 mph, and she says "in 30 seconds?", we say "no, in 2 seconds", and she says "wow, it must have a really big hill!"

Haha (the last one)

One time I was waiting inline for Zoomerang, and someone turned around and was like "does this go upside down?" As the train is like flying over her head.

Another time I was inline for the Wild Cat, which the queue line uses like the way how they only let one load of people in the gates at once. So these people, walked to the back of the train, thinking it was the front. So when they realized it was the back they asked the op if they could have the front this ride and when he said no, in a nice way. The guy lost his mind and screamed at the guy like as loud as he could, threatened to get him fired, and stomped out of the station.

Glad I wasn't operating during that incident. But you'd be surprised how many people don't pay attention in line and think the front's the back, and on a busy day there's no waiting for the front allowed, it just depends on the luck of the draw. If people want to be nasty about if, they won't ruin my day. I'll just call security...

Oh, and I've had a lot of people ask me if the Wildcat goes upside down. C'mon folks, when does a woodie ever go upside down, except in Ohio?

I rode the Great Bear at Hersheypark in the 2nd row & someone behind me in the 3rd row said, "Oh shit! We're going to die." He said it so loud that he even had little 10 year olds screaming to get off the ride ASAP. Also, I remember another time when we were in line for the Great Bear & this autistic guy asked my dad & I how many inversions there were for the coaster. My dad & this guy, who was with the guy, were about to lie to him & say that there were no inversions or just one inversion throughout the journey, but being the roller coaster aficionado & fanatic I am, I reluctantly said that there were four inversions & he got so scared that he backed down & just ran out of the line.

^It was probably good that you told the autistic guy about the inversions. It would've been horrible if he saw those when going up the lift hill.

I could see how maybe someone didn't know if the Boulder Dash went upside down, because in the woods you can't really see the track, but the Wild Cat you can see the whole layout.

I was on the Pinfari looper at Ocean City once in NJ and sat next to this kid who looked about 11 or so, he was saying how the ride couldn't be that scary it wasn't high or anything, Afterwards I was getting out and a lil sore and he turned to me and was like "that pinfari SUCKED!" and walked off, I was like, wow... ok...?

Part of the recorded announcement for the Hersheypark carousel is that you aren't allowed to ride sidesaddle or backwards. One kid, who looked about 10 years old, got caught riding sidesaddle, and when the operator told him about it, he decided to ride backwards.

I'm happy to report that I didn't witness any stupid behavior on or near Stormrunner this time, but that's probably because it wasn't running. People passing underneath it on the monorail and the steam train seemed to be impressed with the layout and mostly understood it.

Not while I was watching. The operator looked pretty mad though.

Wow! Not just Grammar is it. A horse, real or carousel has a saddle. A saddle is a device for riding a horse, sort of like a horse car seat. Side would be sitting in the before mentioned saddle in a sideways or incorrect manner.

You really did know that, right?

This is not me trying to be mean or even pick on you like I have in the past. If you are 13 and couldn't figure that out, or know how to find the answer, please pay more attention in school.

Well this isn't a person, but at California Screamin a crow got hit by the train and it splattered into the front row. I don't know HOW it got in the front row, but it did. Birds get hit all the time. Disney provided the people with clothing from the park so they didn't have to walk around in bird goo all day. Nasty.

I'm usually the guy hoping everyone gets into rides and I'm often encouraging other riders to get their hands up on the lift hill. Aboard the Raven, a rural gentlemen sitting in front of me with a tank top on lifted his arms and the b.o. was horrific. I definitely wasn't a hype man on that ride.

It amazes me how many people ask while their in line for wooden coasters if they go upside-down! I guess that just means that it's not common knowledge that woodies almost never do inversions.

I have a few:

When I was 8 years old, I rode Dr. Doom's FF with 3 gourgeous Florida chicks. The same thing happened a few moths later, on my first ride on Drop Zone @ PGA, only this time, with 3 Asian exchange students!

Me, a friend of mine, and some of his buddys rode Whipeout at Knott's a few years ago. We smashed into the face-to-face seats, and rode twice, taking turns being the ones getting squished. The second time in a row, I was sitting next to my friend, and the other two were across from us. During the last spin cycle, one of guys across from us lost Del Taco all over ride. No one was hit, but the ride had to be hosed.

I don't know what it is about Storm Runner, but during our 13th or 14th ride of the day, we got hit with a pocketfull of loose change! My friend got nailed on the fourhead with a quarter, and there was imprint of the coindirectly where it hit.
