Just got to check out Hershey's Christmas event. I gotta admit, it really is great to be able to go into an amusement park during the dead winter months. I will be frequenting Hersheypark on a regular basis throughout the holidays. I was actually surprised to see pretty much every ride open except the roller coasters. Though I can't ride the sleeping beasts atleast it helps alleviate that winter separation just being near them. In fact with the exception of the Cali and Florida parks I don't know of any other amusement parks in the country open this time of year besides Hershey. Is that right?

Santa's Village in NH is also ope thru Christmas, and they also shut down their coaster when the wether gets chilly.

Are the coasters closed from now on or just when it gets really cold?

No they're closed till Spring. The biggest thrill you're going to get this time of year is on the Claw.

shit why are they closed? I could see Storm runner but they could at least leave like comet or sooperdooperlooper open or something

Roller coasters run like hell in the cold. Plus, there is a lot of maintainence that has to be done to the coasters over the off season.

I am not really sure why they all close since parks appear to be open a lot more in the international parks.
