I know from awhile ago there was this thread and it turned into IoA vs CP. Well now that people have probably been to more parks I think a new thread is a good idea.

My favorite park is still Cedar Point. I love the roller coasters, flat rides and atmosphere. The price is amazing and I also love some of the food that is served. The capacity that the park has is also great. You hardly ever need to wait in a line unless it's TTD, MF or Raptor.

My favorite park experience is still EPCOT. However Alton Towers is a very, very close second.

My favorite park I have visited is easily Paramount King's Dominion because it has great steel coasters (Volcano- the Blast Coaster, Shockwave, Anaconda, Italian Job Turbo Coaster), marvelous wooden coasters (Hurler, Grizzly, Rebel Yell), a great log flume, and some good flat rides. Also, it had nice landscaping and an amusing kiddie section for children.

^I am so sorry for you. I find the park to be ok, even after my bad experience, but I would hate for that to be my favorite park.

I haven't been to that many parks so there weren't too many for me to choose from. Other parks that are almost as good as Paramount King's Dominion are Hersheypark, Dorney Park, Knoebels, and Busch Gardens Europe.

I haven't been to Dorney(1 week away) But I have no idea how you like PKD more than HP or BGE. I mean whatever you like is cool, but I am so baffled.

Maybe it didn't rain when he went

oh.. and I vote IOA (suprised?) Dollywood could challenge with a new coaster, and if IOA continues to slowly degrade

Or maybe it rained all day so it made sense to close, as opposed to waiting til the sun came out then close. Either way the park is ok, but for me nowhere close to 2 of my favorites in HP and BGE.

It is a tie. Knoebels is my heart's home... Coney is my soul's home.

Definitely Islands of Adventure because when you first get into the main entrance, the whole scenery & theming blows you away. The whole park & all the rides are built around this huge lake & their rides are top notch & you won't find many other rides like them. For example, Incredible Hulk, B&M's only twister coaster with a 0-40 in two seconds launch system, Dueling Dragons, the world's one & only dueling inverts, Adventures of Spiderman, probably the best 3D ride in the world, & many more. The food there's set at a reasonable price (even if the admission price's completely exorbitant). The staff there were some of the most friendliest people I've ever met too.

Even after going to BGW(E) again this weekend, I still like Hershey the best. However, BGW(E) grew on me a lot. My favorite section there is by far my favorite country in the park, and probably my favorite area of any park in general, beating out some of the now watered down tranquil sections of Dorney.

I was only at the park for a couple of hours on Saturday night, but it was a much more calm couple of hours as were weren't worried about getting on all of the rides and running around like our heads were cut off because we kind of knew the park much better. I was able to enjoy the place much much more.

The main thing that hit me was taking the bridge from Italy to Germany, looking over and seeing Loch Ness Monster in the distance, lit up, with the loops reflection glistening in the water - it just made me say "Wow, this place is beautiful."

My top 5 parks

#1- Disneyland Park- Theming and Atmosphere that puts IOA to shame. A trip to Disneyland is guaranteed to make you smile. This park has so much to offer its guests - rides that totally immerse you in the Disney experience, and child-like memories that you can't find at any other park. Disneyland sets the standard for great rides. Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion are the best of their kind, and Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn Bobsleds cannot be found in any other Disney park. Pirates of the Caribbean (the longer, better Disneyland version) is still my favorite ride in the park, and there is no better way to end the day at Disneyland than to watch the awesome show "Fantasmic!" On top of all that good food, friendly employees, and a clean, fantasy-like environment ensure an enjoyable experience for all - provided the park isn't too crowded! Regardless of your age, Disneyland will make you feel young!

#2-Cedar Point- The atmosphere at Cedar Point is upbeat, energetic and fun, with every kind of coaster you could possibly want. It also enjoys a beautiful setting, positioned on a peninsula overlooking Lake Erie. It might not have the best of any single thing, but it's got more of everything!

#3- Busch Gardens Williamsburg- The most beautiful theme park in America. Gloriously landscaped, wonderfully terrained, the park is covered in stunning cascades of flora and fauna. European in design and look, Busch Gardens Williamsburg has an element of class, style and sophistication. A great lineup of steel coasters, fabulous food at the Festhaus, and an atmosphere second to none make this park a real vacation getaway. What's missing are family-style flat rides and a wooden roller-coaster. Otherwise, this park is a great example of the ultimate theme park!

#4- Silver Dollar City-Silver Dollar city has it all. Free parking, affordable admission and food, friendly employees, efficient operations, original and great tasting foods, unique rides, wonderful shows, and inventive, immersive theming so intricate and detailed you feel completely removed from the outside world. This place is uniquely and amazingly themed, with historic buildings, bridges and landmarks blending seemlessly into the lush landscaping that perfectly captures the romanticism of the late 1800's. This is a family park with just the right mix of rides, shows and attractions to please everyone. The rides are run with great efficiency so there is never a long wait, and crowds here are extremely well-behaved. Everyone, including the employees, seems to have a wonderful time! The craftsmen and other "citizens of Silver Dollar City" all dress in period costume, and the theming here is so complex and immersive you may actually find yourself stumbling into an 1800's home only to find the family members actually sitting down to supper! Silver Dollar City is really quite a remarkable place - it's a place you'll never forget, and a place you'll always remember with a smile on your face. And that, my friends, is what an award winning park should do!

#5-Islands of Adventure-From the moment you enter the gates, the assault on your senses begins. A total sensory overload, this park is themed to within an inch of its life. Every technological advance has been applied to make every ride, every attraction, every moment an unforgettable experience. IOA has the most technologically advanced rides of any park, and theming that rivals Disney. The water rides are truly spectacular, even downright scary! The Adventures of Spiderman sets a new standard in 3-D simulation rides. Seuss Landing is simply the most delightful, fanciful children's area of any park I've ever visited, and One Fish Two Fish will leave you laughing and a little wet! One thing that would help this park would be to add more rides, that is really the only thing it needs. City Walk is unfortunatly, quite visible from sections of IOA, ruining<
