Apparently, BFunland is trying to fit in a short trip to Clemonton Park, so its going up for sale last year doesn't seem to have affected it negatively. It doesn't have many reviews. Who's been?

Working in northern Delaware, it would seem to be a quick trip that could be fit into a Friday night after work.

I went at the end of August last year. It was a cool little place and I absolutely loved J2. It's not much of a place, but it is a cool place to go for the evening.

Clementon, NJ - Home to Clementon Park and the #1 ranked golf course in the United States. What a great place

I'm gonna have to leave the golf course to you, but it looks like they have an operating Chaos, so that should keep me busy after J2.

Apparently, the artist formerly known as Tsunami is a "balls to the walls" sort of coaster - hence my desire to ride it before it gets knocked down

Yeah I lived about 10 minutes away from there for a while. I use to go to the park alot as a kid. It was pretty terrible back then. I heard J2 is a good ride though so maybe I'll swing by soon. As for the city of Clementon it's pretty ghetto. It's old and run down with alot of low income housing and crack apartments. The parks clientele usually reflected that.

About the only thing worth going to Clementon for is Tsunami, the rest of the ride collection is pretty mediocre. The only thing holding that park a float is the waterpark, which they wisely upgraded a few years ago and is pretty good.

The town is not that bad, I have a cousin that lives on the other side of the lake, and it is very nice.

Cute. Thanks for the info, all. A night visit will be coming up soon, but after the comments on the neighborhood it probably won't be a Saturday night visit.

I also live a few minutes away. I had a season pass last year. The amusement park itself is rarely crowded especially during the week. It is a nice little park and does have an operating Chaos that ironcially, had that accident with the restraint last year. The water park does keep them going, it is always packed, I have never been there.

So, how do I write this tactfully, a neighborhood of crack apartments I should avoid on a Saturday night, or is it just a typical semi-urban area with the usual variety of urban folk? Is it like the waterfront at Camden NJ, or is it like the descriptions of Camden I hear from coworkers who say they are scared to go there (I've stopped for gas & soda & been just fine)?

No, I wouldn't worry about it. It's just like an old run down suburb area. It has its decent parts and its bad parts. Overall though I wouldn't worry about being in the area unless perhaps it was a Fri or Sat night. It is nothing like Camden though.

It is not as bad of an area what what people have made it out to be.
