Ever since Astroworld has shut down, people have speculated where each coaster probably would go, be best at, or if it would be destroyed. Now you can share all your opinions here.

Batman the Escape- A Few Parks

I think that Batman the Escape will be moved since it has been relocated twice before, and it still is popular. Maybe it would be good at Frontier City or The Great Escape.

Greezed Lightnin'- Six Flags Enchanted Village and Wild Waves

Maybe Greezed Lightnin' will go there because Enchanted Village needs a good steel coaster. Also, maybe Six Flags Great America in Illinois would have a good home for this ride.

Mayan Mindbender- Destroyed

I doubt that the Mayan Mindbender would be moved since it was an indoor roller coaster that took up a decent amount of space. Also, the ride has already been relocated, and has a custom building so I don't think that it will be relocated.

Serial Thriller- The Great Escape

Pieces have arrived at The Great Escape so the Serial Thriller would definitely would go there, and it's a great move for the Great Escape.

Serpent- Various Parks

I do believe that the Serpent will be moved to a Six Flags park that doesn't have a real kiddie coaster, but I'm not sure which park. Maybe Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Six Flags New Orleans (if it opens again), ane Six Flags Enchanted Village and Wild Waves.

Texas Cyclone- Destroyed

I don't think the Texas Cyclone would go anywhere because it is a rather old wooden coaster (from late 1970s). Also, it may be sort of hard to move and it had some pieces of wood fall of in the last few years.

Ultra Twister- Six Flags America

This has been a rumor that Six Flags America would get Astroworld's Ultra Twister. However, I don't think that it would be a great fit because a nearby park in the chain, Six Flags Great Adventure has had two heartline coasters since 1986. I think that an amusement park in the west would be best for the Ultra Twister. Maybe Six Flags Marine World in California or Six Flags Enchanted Village and Wild Waves in Washington. Both parks could use another thrilling steel coaster.

Viper- Six Flags Great America

I have no idea where this may go, but I have a feeling it would go somewhere since it has been moved before and it's still a popular ride. Maybe Six Flags Great America since there has been a rumor about maybe getting a new coaster in the next few years. Also, there isn't a really close Schwarzkopf coaster that loops.

XLR-8- Six Flags St. Louis

I think that this ride may move, but this is my opinion. A park in the mid-west would be best for XLR-8 because not to many are nearby. Six Flags St. Louis hasn't added a new roller coaster since 2000 (The Boss) and could use another steel coaster, so XLR-8 would be a nice fit.

I have to copy the list so I can keep up with everything...

Batman The Escape - X
Greezed Lightnin' - X
Mayan Mindbender - X
Serial Thriller - X
Serpent - X
Texas Cyclone - X
Ultra Twister - X
Viper - X
XLR-8 - X

OK, as stated the SLC is going to Lake George.

I was told three parks would be picking up AW coasters but Great Escape was not one of them, I was also told some other things half of which are true and half of which have been false.

I'd bet the standup is used as parts in Canada.

The Schwarzkopfs are probably for sale/to be used for parts. Don't count on them being relocated.

Texas Cyclone is free for anyone who wants it.

Ultra Twister and XLR-8 are tough. I think that one or the other will be scrapped, and if I had to put my money on it I'd say Ultra Twister.

The family coasters are probably for sale.

So there you go, probably only 3-4 of the coasters will be located AFAIK.

The smart move woudl be to move the Cyclone adn at least one of the Schwartzkopf's to SFFT. this woudl intice teh already hurt SFAW fans to fisit thenext closist park and still be able to ride two of there coasters.

That would be very nice having the coaster relocated nearby, especially since Six Flags Fiesta Texas hasn't added a new coaster since 2000, and could definitely use a new one. However, I would think that the coasters would be relocated to various different parks (ones that will be removed).

The reason I'm sugest ing two. one Cyclone is slated to be distroyed. it woudl be very inexpeneve to more the ocaster to featsa TX since it's so close. another coaster that was populare but slated for sale if it dosn't sell instal it in SFFT insted of Scraping it. if that means they get 2-4 coaster then so be it.

The Cyclone will not be relocated within the chain. Drop it, Odum did say that anyone who wants to pay to move it is free to do so, however that's going to be nearly as expensive as building a new ride from scratch.

How popular was the Texas Cyclone. If it wasn't that popular, it's definitely not worth the effort to relocate. Especially since it has had some reliability issues I mentioned (wood falling off).

King - This site raited the Cyclone at a 9.0 and the second best ride in the park. So it faired prity well.

Bob, What is your problem? The list I gave at the begining is the release from Astroworld Employees taking them down. so if you don't want to leave things open for wishfull thinking then close the link I already gave him the answer. not to mention I said that the coaster is slated to be destroyed.

I'm merely restating what John Odum (Vice President of the Central Region for Six Flags) way saying at the IAAPA convention. They don't want to move it but if for some reason someone really wanted to pay for it to be removed and relocated then they could have it for free. If not, it will be destroyed. You said something to the effect of "it would be a good idea to move it to Fiesta Texas" when the company has gone on record saying they won't do so. No big deal, though I think you are misled saying that it would be cheap to move it such a short distance. Do you see what I'm saying? No reason to get any relocation hopes up...

I have more to update. Greezed Lightnin' probably won't go anywhere after the fire. Also, there a rumor that trucks carrying Batman; the Escape pieces were seen heading northeast, maybe towards Darien Lake (this may not be 100% accurate).

Considerign it's listed in the Auction I dought it's now going to SFDL. also The station was the only thign afected. its an elivated coaster a station fire woudl cause the wood to fall away form the coaster. it may need more paint but it wouldn't cause any damage.

If Six Flags America were to add one of them, Ultra Twister probably would be the most likely. However, I'd rather see Viper, the Schwarzkopf coaster because Six Flags America lacks a basic looping coaster.

Either way Viper would be good for America.

I too agree Viper would be nice since all their steel coasters currently operating, except for Wild One, were built in 1995 or later. Viper is an older, classic coaster that would fit very nicely into the park giving them a basic looping coaster.

Problem is were to put it. ass they are right now they are highly disorganized in there themed area. They coudl create a new area but that raises even more quiestion.

Plus, we need another STELLAR coaster here at SFA. We got good variety but the rides don't last too long and there seems to be no more than 1 of any type of coaster. Its a nice park though for a nearby park I can visit often. But weaker than PKD and Busch Gardens.

Yess but the park needs to Emprove the quality of the park. Add soem flats family and trhill while fixign thepark and then when you have a park worth visitign you add a major addition to bring people in.

They definitely should get the Viper from Astroworld (suggestion). Then the park needs many flat rides (classic and modern) and a family coaster.
