There is an Ebay auction where you can buy the front car of the Yellow train of Steel Phantom. After 3 bids, it is up to $102.50.

If I had a few extra bucks and some extra closet space I would be up for this.

hercules-
that is a fantastic ebay item. i am considering bidding, so i can place it in my house in such a way that myself and others can watch coaster POVs within the OTSRs, and also put a fan on to blow through our hair.

i confess though, i didn't feel like reading all the way through the nursing school catalog. is there any encrypted coaster info in there?

No sorry. I was using a computer in the library and I messed up the cut and paste and didn't realize that I had pasted something that someone that had just used to computer had copied. I just fixed it though so nobody else has to get confused.

That is a pretty good idea there traver Why do that when you can get some scrap metal and make your own backyard coaster though?

I would just want it to say that I have it and I sure as hell wouldn't be selling it for 100 dollars on Ebay.

Did you happen to read the part about how you are not a true coaster enthusiast without a roller coaster car? I guess I'm not a true coaster enthusiast. I guess a lot of you have something like this then?

not a bad idea. it would be an extremely intense ride, though, because i won't settle for anything less than a 60 foot first drop, and my urban backyard is a tight 14' X 18'. there would be a few rough transitions. additionally, i would like to install a cobra roll over my rose bush.....

We need a spot to review that!

That is pretty crazy, and very creative.

On a sidenote, I had a girlfriend who moved to Vincennes. Maybe I should go there, find her and then ride a cheesy homemade coaster. That would be a full day.

I wonder how hard it would be to build a coaster in your back yard, of course, my back yard is 4 acres, with some wooded hills behind that. So maybe I could build a Boulder Dash type ride.

I'll be in Indianapolis for the Final 4 in April but don't think I'll be driving the 3-4 hours to Vincennes

Ya I've seen both of thee before.

An update: with a bit over 10 hours left the bud is up to 355.

I think I remember those pics, but I also remember some pics of a sort of coaster that doesn't have a lift hill and yo have to load the car up at the end of the track and lug it back up the hill.

I wonder how the first test of the loop in the Blue Flash went. I bet whoever tested was pretty nervous.
