Universal Studios really captures an amazing atmosphere from the second you enter the park. They lack the number of rides to make the park at the top of my list, but ROTM is great. Hopefully the park will continue to add thrills in the future

You put SFMM over IOA? Did you think that the gang fights were highly themed stunt shows or somethin?

1. Knoebels - charm and thrills unsurpassed
2. Cedar Point - history and cutting edge technology
3. Magic Kingdom - themeing at its best
4. Coney Island - granddaddy of them all
5. Rye Playland - on the Sound, museum-quality flat rides
6. Paramounts Kings Island - my home park, say no more
7. Epcot - around the world in a day or two
8. Trimpers Amusements - beautiful old flats, beautifully cared for
9. Lake Compounce - gorgeous surrounding, Boulder Dash (hopefully a sign of what's to come)
10. Keansburg - hard to explain, it just has a rough charm all its own

... admittedly, two factors - I'm a big fan of the older parks, and still have plenty of parks I need to make it to. For example, I know that Kennywood's got a spot on the list, but that's to come. So, for now, this is how I stand...

Danielle- when you guys finally make it to Kennywood, I think you will fall in love. I've only made it there once, but am dying to go back. It's definitely a dark ride destination.

Probably next summer - and yes, I know I will fall in love. That "Lost Kennywood" section will be sort of like a flat ride Mecca for me...

Kennywood is just awesome. The whole atmosphere is amazing, and the flats rule. Not to mention a nice collection of woodies, dark rides, and from what I hear a great hypercoaster. I wish I could go back there It's also good to see Rye Playland on your list. That's a great little park, and it appears to have greatly improved since I last was there.

It was a great show, I got a free switchblade, picked out of someone's chest and a chinese throwing star out of a tree I was standing next to.

Hey we have all been through this and all rate parks differently. I love coaster and thrills rides and SFMM provided it. And the crowd was extremely subdued and non-violent and there was only 1 incident of line cutting all day. I base this view on the only trip I have ever made to the park. I agree there are plenty of factors that could cause others to feel differently about the park. However, i spent about 7 hours at the park and rode all coasters (many multiple times) except Colossus. I love the coasters and SFMM has a good line-up
