What do people think of the new rides at the UK's theme parks this year, a launched coaster called Rita at Alton Towers, two thrill rides called Slammer and Rush at Thorpe Park and a new X-Car coaster at Drayton Manor?

The X-car coaster looks, well, interesting 
Better than another rocket, but the UK doesn't have one, so I guess that's still alright.

THe UK has a great solection of rides already. this new rides and coasters are jsut addign to the mix.

Rita looks pretty cool. The world is now beginning to see a population of Intamin launch coasters beginning with the standard launch and tophat. In a couple years we'll have too many, just like the explosion of hypercoasters around the year 2000. Rita doesn't have that height but it would be cool to experienced constant, sustained speed like that. Horrible name though, especially with cool names like Nemesis and Oblivion. England looks to have some great parks. Also, Thorpe is building an Intamin rocket in 2006 I believe and there have been rumors about Blackpool adding a record breaker.

Rita is only a project name. it will not stay. the projust mnames never have.

Rita;Queen of Speed, looks fantastic. The launch, and long layout for an Intamin accelerator coaster are two reasons why I want to ride it. Hopefully someday, I can ride it.
